"We’re terrified at what we’re seeing": food banks tell of soaring demand - A Food Standards Agency survey published last month found that between April and June last year, 15% of people in England, Wales and Northern Ireland were food insecure (which means they were facing either reduced quality, variety or desirability of diet, or disrupted eating patterns and reduced food intake) and 4% reported visiting a food bank in the past 12 months.

The fact that the UK is one of the worlds leading ecomomies (despite Brexit) its bewildering that we can't look after our own people. The Egg Shooter peice plays with the idea that military weapons and equipment are more important to govenments than food poverty.
